When holidaying in Noosa make sure you were sun block, hat, a sun shirt and sunglasses. 2. What to wear: Noosa offers a laid back lifestyle so you can pretty much were what ever you want. In-fact if you want to wear nothing at all there is a beach know as A Bay (Alexander Bay) at the end of the Noosa national park where you can do just that. The fashion in Noosa is smart casual at night and bikinis and board shorts at the beach. 3. What to take on a day out: Noosa offers a beautiful environment with many national parks and walkways that you will want to explore. When trekking make sure you have suitable footwear, a map and plenty of water. It’s also a good idea to take a mobile phone if you plan to explore some of the more remote locations. 4. Money: Just about every store, restaurant, hotel and motel in Noosa accepts major credit cards. Sometimes it is handy to have another credit card other than American Express and Dinners Club. Most places charge a surcharge for using these cards. The Noosa area has many banks and currency exchanges. If you need to wire money from overseas Australia Post are agents for Western Union. Australia Post has 4 branches in Noosa. 5. Getting Around: Noosa offers a wide variety of transport options. The local bus service is the most affordable way to get around. There is also a Ferry service that offers pick up points along the Noosa River. There is also a local taxi service. If you would prefer a car of your own all the major car hire companies operate out of Noosa. 6. Eating Out: Noosa offers a wide variety of restaurants. Most of the restaurants in Hasting Street and Noosaville are very nice but can be expensive. If you are on a budget we would recommend going where the locals go. These places include the Noosa Heads Surf Club, Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club in Noosaville, Noosa Heads and Tewantin Noosa bowls club and the Tewantin Noosa RSL club. The Tewantin Noosa RSL club also offers a courtesy coach so you will also save on transport.
